5 Tips to Start Planning a Perfect Bar/Bat Mitzva in Jerusalem

What decisions should you make at the beginning of the party planning process in Jerusalem?

1. DO YOU WANT A KOTEL EXPERIENCE
Plan for a Monday or Thursday religious ceremony at the Kotel. Party planners can help you arrange chairs, Torah, and some shade. There are many options for hosting a breakfast after the Kotel or a kiddush on shabbat. Some venues are walking distance and others are a short walk away.

2. CHOOSE A PARTY VENUE & RESERVE IT
Start the research yourself in the Bar/Bat Mitzva Venue Guide but then use a party planner to negotiate for you, deal with local vendors, & enable you to be a guest at your event. It is not too early to book a year in advance especially if your event is over a major holiday in Jerusalem.

3. ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL FESTIVALS OR EVENTS HAPPENING THAT WEEK?
You may be able to incorporate them into your celebrations or know to avoid the traffic. Check out our yearly festivals chart to see what usually takes place in Jerusalem.

4. WHERE WILL YOU STAY WITH YOUR GUESTS?
There are  furnished serviced rentals ,hotels, and airbnb options in Jerusalem. Plan ahead to reserve apartments near each other.

5. CHECK THE WEATHER TYPICAL FOR THAT MONTH
That can help you decide what type of tiyulim day trips or attractions you will want to visit with your guests. Make sure to check out our FUN Favorite Activities.
