Your pattern will be drawn up for you before you arrive. Avigael will guide you through the process, help you pick your colors and teach you how to use the brushes. All materials will be provided.
Workshops are held in Avigael’s studio in Jerusalem or, if you prefer, she can come to you.
Your kids will design their very own silk painting.
If you’re kids are younger Avigael will draw their chosen pattern for them and then guide them on how to paint. She will work with older kids to help them draw and then paint their own patterns.
Avigael will host the kids at her workshop in Jerusalem (minimum of 4 kids) or at your home (minimum of 7 kids).
Avigael will teach you how to make your own exquisite silk scarf. Choose from an assortment of beautiful patterns that Avigael has in her workshop, or send her a design of your choice.
Create your own rectangle silk scarf with a “Marbling Technique”, to dye an original scarf. Available in either silk chiffon, silk crepe, or silk twill.
There’s a choice of two sizes of fabric in each silk, for half or full head covering.
Create your own beautiful silk challah cover. After the workshop Avigael will sew on the cotton lining, ready for you to come and collect a few days later.
Why not host a private silk painting workshop in the confort of your own home? Private workshops require a minimum of five participants.
Workshops can be organized in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. Other venues will be considered.

]]>The theater was founded in Jerusalem in 1981, as a collaboration of four independent puppeteers: Michael Schuster, Alina Ashbel, Hadass Ophrat and the late Mario Kotliar.
The theater got it’s name because it began in a train car located in Liberty Bell Park – Gan Hapaamon.
The new theater located next to the skate park in the southern area of Gan Hapaamon has a large theater which can seat 180, a small theater which can seat 60, an outdoor amphitheater, courtyard and workshop rooms.
Today the theater has weekly shows for kids in its brand new location in the Southern section of the park. The theater offers traveling shows as well as workshops. Perhaps it is most famous for running the Puppet Festival in Jerusalem each summer.

Teens learn to create beautiful pieces of artwork that are later sold to the public in a variety of stores. All income generated by the sale of the handcrafted items at Susan’s House is used for funding the continuation of the project and the ongoing development of the participating youths.
Susan’s House is a great place to host a birthday party for teenagers and for a Bat or Bar Mitzva. A custom program will be created for your guests. Contact Susan’s House for details.
Visit the factory gift shop and you will find beautiful glass jewelry and giftware created by the Susan’s House youth. My favorite are the glass dishes with the names of Jerusalem designed into them. Beautiful gifts at amazing prices. The perfect souvenir.

]]>The twelve stained glass windows, which Marc Chagall created for the synagogue and donated to Hadassah in 1962, represent the unique characteristics, attributes, professions and strengths of the twelve sons of the biblical patriarch Jacob. Marc Chagall’s main inspiration is derived from the Bible, particularly Jacob’s blessings to his twelve sons and Moses’ words to the twelve tribes.
The colorful light that emanates from the twelve stained glass windows bathes the Abbell Synagogue at the Hadassah University Medical Center in a special glow. The sun filters through the brilliant hues of the stained glass capturing their radiance. Even in the misty haze of a cloudy day, Chagall’s genius transforms time and space.
The tour of the Hadassah Heritage Center and the Chagall Windows is the best way to discover one of the most famous and splendid works of Marc Chagall and the incredible humane work of the Hadassah organization throughout the past 100 years.
You don’t want to miss it!

Kids will enjoy the armor exhibit as well as some of the intricate mosaics. During school vacations the museum usually has children’s shows and special art workshops.
The Museum also features the Shrine of the Book, Model of Jerusalem During the 2nd Temple and an outdoor Sculpture Garden. The Museum offers permanent and temporary exhibits during the year. To experience the exhibits you can choose an audio guide to take you on a tour, or refer to the trained guides at each exhibit, who can explain what you are seeing. For a detailed explanation we recommend that you book a guided tour.
The Israel Museum offers free public tours with Museum admission. Tours are given in different languages, so please contact the Museum to find a specific tour.
Tours are interactive and include creative materials, stories, riddles and challenges, which bring the exhibits to life.
Advance reservations are required for all adult and student groups regardless of size. Children can enter the Museum for free on Tuesdays.
