Accelerated Piano Camp

Modeled after the highly successful Accelerated Group Lessons, where students move through their music about twice as fast as in standard lessons, the CAMP will be focusing on CHORDS and ACCOMPANIMENTS and how to play your FAVORITE tunes and sound GREAT!

Instead of working through a method book, campers will CUSTOMIZE their experience by choosing songs THEY LOVE and learning how to play them!

These are skills that students often ask about, but that standard lessons don’t focus on!

Each session is 4 days of intensive learning and fun, and there are THREE sessions to choose from in August to suit your schedule!

Campers will discover:

*important chords to play their favorite songs!!
*how to follow a lead sheet to play ANY song!!
*accompaniments that sound AWESOME and IMPRESSIVE!!
*how to play more expressively!!
*how to figure out what chords to match to tunes you know!

PLUS:

*CUSTOMIZE your experience–each camper may submit song/s in advance so she’ll master songs SHE wants to learn!

*challenging (and sometimes goofy!) piano games (that they’ve never played!!!)

ALL IN A SMALL-GROUP, FAST-PACED, EXHILARATING, ENVIRONMENT!

Accelerated Piano CAMP is for you if:
*You want to expand your repertoire beyond your method book

*You enjoy playing piano and are excited to delve into a fast-paced piano experience
*You recognized the value in accomplishing months’ worth of learning in only ONE week

Slots are VERY limited–max 6 campers per session!!
due to the intuitive nature of this program, any girls age 9-15 with a basic knowledge of piano may apply!

Friendship Circle Central Jerusalem Camp Klara

The Central Jerusalem Friendship Circle of Jerusalem runs Camp Klara for children with special needs.

This summer’s camp will take place in the Ahim Hasid Complex on Emek Refaim.

Their mission is to provide support, friendship, and love to children with special needs and their families.

Simultaneously, Friendship Circle offers teenagers an opportunity for enriching and meaningful volunteering experience. It is special to be a part of this beautiful circle of friendship.

Lenagen Bekef Music Camp

Lenagen Bekef, a music school located in the center of Jerusalem, has summer programs for kids and teens of all levels. Those who already play – even just a bit – can join a band and perform in a concert or record a song, while those who are aching to play can take a crash course in guitar.

Bands in the Summer

Enjoy playing… but want to do more than just play alone? Ever thought of joining a band? The time has come to do something about it. Come to the summer program at Lenagen Bekef, where we’ll put you in a band and provide you with expert hadrachah (instruction). The course is for three hours a day over two weeks and by the end you’ll be ready to perform on stage or record a track. For ages 11-18, all levels welcome.

Crash Course in Guitar

Learn some of your favorite songs as you gain a solid foundation in how to play the guitar in just two weeks. For ages 11-18, no prior knowledge needed.

Each program comprises ten three-hour sessions that take place over a two-week period from Sunday to Thursday during each week.

At the end of the program, the participants can continue to learn at Lenagen Bekef with private lessons or by joining our regular bands program.

FIJ Important Notice – Summer Camps in Jerusalem have begun registration and are hoping that within the next few weeks the government will officially issue permission for camps to open just as they did for schools. It is the responsibility of each parent to check the camp is working within the official guidelines, as issued by the Israeli Ministry of Health, before the first day of camp.

Camp Ramah Jerusalem

Camp Ramah offers an exciting day camp option for locals and for tourists at the Israel Goldstein Youth Village.

Ramah Jerusalem Day Camp is an outstanding Israel summer experience combining English and Hebrew speaking children entering grades K-6 that takes place at the Israel Goldstein Youth Village. Activities include zumba, sports, art, theater, nature and swimming (3 times a week), Kabbalat Shabbat and field trips.

With the hills of Jerusalem as our backdrop, campers participate in the full range of camp activities including sports, fine arts, swimming, nature, music, and performing arts. Judaism and Hebrew language are seamlessly woven into daily activities in a warm and nurturing environment filled with ruach, excitement, and love. Campers at Ramah Jerusalem Camps learn new skills, make new friends, and create lasting memories. The unique kehilla we build here will stretch far beyond the summer.

Through regular outings in and around Jerusalem, our campers enjoy an array of exciting experiences designed to introduce them to the beauty and wonders of Israel.

Ramah

Ramah Jerusalem Camps is a division of the National Ramah Commission, Inc. under the educational and religious supervision of The Jewish Theological Seminary.

Ramah Israel day camp is part of the Ramah programs in North America, and is a pluralistic environment: we have secular and religious, Fluent Hebrew speakers, and non-Hebrew speakers, enjoying together, in the same groups. As an Israeli based program, the program is run in Hebrew, But the kids get to learn from co-existence, hearing English and Hebrew as well.
