Modeled after the highly successful Accelerated Group Lessons, where students move through their music about twice as fast as in standard lessons, the CAMP will be focusing on CHORDS and ACCOMPANIMENTS and how to play your FAVORITE tunes and sound GREAT!
Instead of working through a method book, campers will CUSTOMIZE their experience by choosing songs THEY LOVE and learning how to play them!
These are skills that students often ask about, but that standard lessons don’t focus on!
Each session is 4 days of intensive learning and fun, and there are THREE sessions to choose from in August to suit your schedule!
Campers will discover:
*important chords to play their favorite songs!!
*how to follow a lead sheet to play ANY song!!
*accompaniments that sound AWESOME and IMPRESSIVE!!
*how to play more expressively!!
*how to figure out what chords to match to tunes you know!
PLUS:
*CUSTOMIZE your experience–each camper may submit song/s in advance so she’ll master songs SHE wants to learn!
*challenging (and sometimes goofy!) piano games (that they’ve never played!!!)
